Classic AIM and ICQ clients have had nowhere left to sign on. open-oscar-server is a self-hostable instant messaging server written in Go that revives both networks. It serves buddy lists, away messages, chat rooms, buddy icons, user profiles, and file sharing, while ICQ clients gain offline messaging. Direct Connect file transfers stay LAN-only, but your old screen name finally signs on.
