TypeScript-to-Native Compiler

What scriptc is

scriptc compiles TypeScript and JavaScript to native executables and WebAssembly. It uses the types checked by the TypeScript compiler to generate machine code, and the output runs without Node.js installed. npm packages your program imports compile along with it. Code scriptc can't compile is reported at build time with a diagnostic and, where available, a rewrite hint.

scriptc: TypeScript → 1 Native Executable (No Node.js Runtime)

Transcript

scriptc compiles TypeScript directly into standalone native executables for macOS, Linux, and Windows by emitting LLVM IR or C code that clang transforms into machine code, bypassing the Node.js runtime entirely while preserving familiar APIs like http servers. This architecture supports filesystem access, child processes, and network sockets without requiring a JavaScript runtime installation. The compiler currently flags dynamic code patterns as diagnostic warnings rather than blocking compilation. You can deploy TypeScript applications as single binary executables that run on servers without installing Node.
